Hello November

 Hello November!

November 2022 is finally here! As soon as it becomes November I become happy because I know it’s time for Thanksgiving. As much as I love Christmas, I do love Thanksgiving because I like to give thanks to God daily for what he has blessed me with in life. November is a beautiful month, it always has been and I’m so excited to be nearing the holidays, with all the festivities. I’ll be blogging this holiday season about ideas for spending the holidays with your family and some more sentimental posts dealing with this season. Make sure you’re following along for inspiring blog posts coming your way :)

Goals for November.

I don’t like to talk “goals” around the holidays but I must say I do have goals and I am looking forward to trying to accomplish them this month. For example; I want my family to create beautiful memories and I want to document them! I’m going to be working on my Thanksgiving and Christmas menu coming up for the next few days. I want my kiddos to love looking forward to Holiday dinners and don’t mind putting in the extra effort.

For goals in November try focusing on taking care of yourself as you start to prep for the holidays. Everyone talks about how much they look forward to the holidays and how friends and relatives can come together and reunite. I love that part too but I’m focusing a bit more this year on making the holidays wonderful for my family in my own home. That’s one of my goals and if it isn’t one of yours, that’s fine too.

Don’t let others get you down this November; focus on you and the people that matter most to you in your life. Cherish the life God gave you and don’t take it for granted. Focus on what makes YOU happy and what makes you, YOU. Don’t let there be an in between this holiday season.
Also, don’t forget the TRUE meaning of the holidays as we so often do getting wrapped up in upcoming events. The true meaning is to stop and take the time to smell the roses. Take the time to appreciate your family and remind yourself how much they mean to you.

Remind yourself to rest.

Do you ever become overwhelmed with all of the holiday to-do’s and end up becoming frustrated? Listen, we all want to enjoy the holidays and there’s no reason why we shouldn’t. But, becoming stressed out over the holidays is not worth it. I’ve done it before and for so many years, so much that I’ve decided to focus on a more simple approach.

Instead of doing too much, why not take it day by day and accomplish what we can THAT day? And why not refuse to put so much pressure on ourselves this upcoming season? Listen, our children can still have an amazing Thanksgiving and Christmas without so much pressure to check off that bucket list. Remember that God wants you to celebrate these holidays with Him in mind. I’ve taught my children to give thanks to God and celebrate Him on Christmas.

Leave some comments down below if you agree :) Have a great holiday season and God bless you,
Until next time,
Xoxo,
Mrsplanahead

My functional planner system

My functional planner system Planning has always been something that I have needed in my life. To be honest, I was always forgetting stuff- from grocery items at the store to remembering last minute I had an appointment that I couldn’t miss! Things were becoming hectic in my life and I knew I needed something to help remind me and plan out events before they took place. I’m just not a digital planner type of person and trust me, I have TRIED!  Google calendar never worked out for me, even the little calendar app in my iPhone is left unused. So, I knew I needed a paper planner since I’ve always gravitated towards using one growing up.  Here’s when I started planning and realizing I needed a system that worked for me. However, once I had my first born and responsibilities were piling up I noticed that it was time to focus and knock out some to-do lists that seemed forever pending. And it wasn’t until YEARS into planning that I started to bring my planner along with me in m...

How to balance work and being a mom

5 ways to balance work and being a mom.  We've all had those mom moments when we feel guilty when work takes over precious time we could be spending with our children. Everyone has gone through it at some point or another. I've been a stay at home mom for many years and I've worked from home before, still do, and I know  exactly  how that feels.  Photo by  charlesdeluvio  on  Unsplash I have worked outside the home and I know the mom guilt feeling as well. There has to be a balance for moms while juggling work and Homelife. If you work outside the home, the balance must be created with a set routine you create for yourself and your children. And that takes a few weeks to figure out a concrete routine and only you can figure that out yourself. It took me a while to set a routine for my kids and I when I was working outside the home.  Now, I'm working remotely and I'm going to have to figure out a new routine. ...
